Grants and Funding

Morrison's Foundation
The newly established Morrison’s Foundation is looking to award approximately £2 million a year for community projects that improve people's lives in the UK. Applicants must demonstrate how the project will deliver public benefit, who in the community will benefit and how it will bring about positive change. Applicants must also have financial information dating back three years and have raised some of the funding elsewhere. The deadline is rolling, so there is plenty of time to apply

Greggs Foundation | Local Community Projects Fund
Grants of up to £2,000 are available for sustainable and innovative approaches to supporting and improving the resilience of communities such as sessional activities/respite support, equipment for sessional activities, trips and residential breaks. Priority will be given to organisations that have Greggs shops or premises nearby. The deadline is the 28 February, so begin your application soon.

The Hedley Foundation
The Hedley Foundation invites registered charities in the UK to apply for up to £5,000 to support mainly young people with their education, creation, support, training, health and welfare. The Foundation also supports disabled people and the terminally ill with provision of specialist equipment and support for carers. The deadline is rolling, apply here.

Woodward Charitable Trust | Small Grant
The trust funds charitable organisations with an income of less than £300,000. Most grants of £500- £5,000 made are for one-off projects although some grants fund salaries and running costs. Priority is given to projects make good use of volunteers, encourage past and current users to participate. You can find application forms here. 

Events and Training

The National Lottery Community Fund (Big Lottery Fund) one-to-one surgeries take place on Monday 18 February. The Reaching Communities programme is offering one-to-one support sessions for applicants at CVS Brent's office. You can book a 30 minute slot to meet a Regional Grants officer, who can give you instant feedback on the brief outline of your proposal.

All community groups and voluntary sector organisations who want to successfully apply for grants or ensure their organisation’s health and growth should undertake monitoring and evaluation. The CVS Brent workshop covers monitoring and evaluation essentials and will give you an overview of where to start. Register to begin your path to growth.

Financial Management for Trustees. This is an event for Trustees or management committee members who would like to understand their accountability and responsibilities in the field of financial management. Topics covered include; the budgeting cycle; monitoring and management of financial accounts; end of year financial accounts. Get your ticket here.
